Veritas Forum

We have joined other campus groups which offer spiritual resources (Athletes in Action, and others including the Branch, the Office of the Chaplain & Religious Life, Intervarsity “BCF”, Catholic community, GMCF) along with professors and Academic Departments to bring the Veritas Forum to Brown annually.

The Veritas Forum originated at Harvard University, and hosts university events that engage students and faculty in discussions about life’s hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life.

The 2014 Veritas Forum, “Science & Faith: Friends or Foes”, is Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at 7pm in Solomon 101 and the speaker is Ian Hutchinson, nuclear physicist at MIT, who has spoken extensively on the compatibility of science and faith.   As well as being a senior scientist at MIT, Professor Hutchinson is a passionate evangelist and apologist and will present why science is not an obstacle to faith in Jesus Christ.
